Our next market is Sunday 31st May!

Riverton Community Market is a great place to catch up with friends & family, find a boutique gift for someone special, and treat yourself to something nice! We hold this market on the last Sunday of every month fro 10am - 2pm (at Flecks Hall, opposite the supermarket) - watch this space for future developments..

Our intentions are to:

bring our community together on a regular basis,
support local enterprise (and encourage our children with their enterprises)
provide opportunities for local people to sell their crafts, products & produce,
facilitate our community in meeting local suppliers,
encourage sharing, giving and trading,
support local fundraisers,
encourage and support our local musicians
share knowledge,
HAVE FUN!

BAKING COMPETITION:

Exciting news!! We will hold a XXX to be announced Competition at the next Riverton Community Market on Sunday the 31st May. Made by the community, judged by the community. So pull out your best recipes and get your bake on!

All entries must be at the market by midday which is when the taste testing starts. The prize is $75 cash! The winner will be announced at 1.30pm. Please provide the following information to go with your entry:

your name and phone number (this can be on the back of the card/paper)
the name of your entry and
the ingredient list.

I knit adult socks, both long and short raised heel, in both wool and merino. I dye the wool myself so no two socks are ever the same. I also make crocheted, fingerless gloves with same wool.

At the upcoming market I will be selling 3D printed bag charms and earrings, 3D printed vases, hand-drawn badges and magnets, cards and prints of my original artwork, linocuts and some of my needle felting. They are all my own original work and the 3D printed products are all completely unique designs I have created. Commission illustrations are available for magnets and badges. I will do an illustration of a photo of your pet while you walk around the market. All you need to do is have a suitable photo of your chosen pet on your phone or printed out on paper. A rough guide line for suitable photos is to have a clear shot of the pet’s face (the body is not required) with minimal blurring in the pet’s face. Make sure it is not a video. You'll also find Dehydrated Yogurt Drops, a healthy, mess free alternative to keep on hand for those unexpected snack times. Yummy Seed Crackers which are gluten, sugar, and egg free. A real healthy 3pm snack. Come and try free samples while they last.

Freshly baked Afghans, Belgian, Custard Yoyo, Raspberry or Lemon Melting Moment, Peanut Brownies and other favourite biscuits which will be in supply for you to enjoy. There's Scary Spiders, M&M Flowers, and Ginger Bread men and new to join them is the Minions, to delight the wee shoppers. Baking comes in Gluten Free and Plain flour options.

Samples will be available to try of my delicious Old Fashioned Ginger Beer. You can purchase the kits or an active bug and make your own or just purchase a ready made bottle or two. I've also discovered it deters our local possum from nibbling on my roses.Thats an unexpected win! Natural Shaving Soap in a tin. This product has been handcrafted by myself, for my husband, who's been happily using it for a good few months now. Made from all natural ingredients with incorporated Essential Oils and Bentonite Clay to give a creamy lather, and a smooth close shave, leaving your skin soft and moisturized.

Made from our 100% grass fed Beef suet which has been through many fine filters to purify the main ingredient, this Tallow Balm leaves your skin feeling silky smooth and regenerated. Theres a few choices with the benefits of Essential oils added. I love using this product on a daily basis. A great way to utilise the animal from nose to tail.

There's also Kawakawa Chickweed Balm, which is made from Sweet Almond Oil slowly infused with leaves from my healing Kawakawa plant, antimicrobial chickweed gathered from the yard and soothing essential oils. The Sweet Almond Oil is also beneficial for helping to restore dry cracked skin, healing eczema and psoriasis flare ups.

Natural Antiseptic Calendula Salve. Made from my homegrown calendula that's been infusing for the past 8 weeks and packed with the benefits of Mango and Shea Butters, Tea Tree oil, Lavender and Lemon Essential Oils. Perfect for all those ‘ouchie’ moments and handy to pack in your first aid kit.

An array of plant based Cold Process soaps - Peppermint, Christmas Festive Swirls, Neem Oil, Frankincense & Turmeric, Aloe Vera, TeeTree, Cedarwood & Peppermint, Manuka & Honey, along with other favourites - Aniseed China Star & Chai, Eco Friendly, Kawakawa, Lavender, Lemon, Rose Geranium, Oats & Honey and Sweet Orange have been replenished. All made from pure natural plant fats and oils, some with added essential oils for extra beneficial properties. These soaps are a real indulgence for you and your skin.
