Our next market is Sunday 25th May!
Riverton Community Market is a great place to catch up with friends & family, find a boutique gift for someone special, and treat yourself to something nice! We hold this market on the last Sunday of every month fro 10am - 2pm (at Flecks Hall, opposite the supermarket) - watch this space for future developments..
Our intentions are to:

bring our community together on a regular basis,

support local enterprise (and encourage our children with their enterprises)

provide opportunities for local people to sell their crafts, products & produce,

facilitate our community in meeting local suppliers,

encourage sharing, giving and trading,

support local fundraisers,

encourage and support our local musicians

share knowledge,

BAKING COMPETITION:
Exciting news!! We will hold a Savory Tart Baking Competition at the next Riverton Community Market on Sunday the 25th May. Made by the community, judged by the community. So pull out your best recipes and get your bake on!
All entries must be at the market by midday which is when the taste testing starts. The prize is $75 cash! The winner will be announced at 1.30pm. Please provide the following information to go with your entry:

your name and phone number (this can be on the back of the card/paper)

the name of your entry and
-
the ingredient list.

Below are some of the creations and products that will be available to buy at the next market (please note: this is a work in progress is likely to be changing over the coming days). I aim to have this page finalized by the Monday before to the market.
Feet Treats from Annettes sock room
I knit adult socks, both long and short raised heel, in both wool and merino. I dye the wool myself so no two socks are ever the same. I also make crocheted, fingerless gloves with same wool.

Dolls Clothes @ Rachelmadenz

We make sewn and knitted clothes for the 18inch doll, specialising in custom made replica school uniforms and dance outfits. The handmade garments are supplemented by imported footwear.









A Little Bit of Everything
A Little Bit of Everything has been busy hand crafting more goodness for you to indulge in. Mothers Day is coming up in a few weeks and this is the perfect opportunity to find something for your special mother, grandmother, aunt or sister at our table.
This market we're offering you our famous Gingerbread cookies and pressed biscuits in plain or gluten free options to satisfy your taste buds along with natural fruit, sugar free Gummy bears treats to indulge in.
Granny has made a beautiful selection of potpourri jars to enjoy over the coming cooler months. Also some lovely diffusers to make your home smell heavenly.
A selection of roll on perfumes to accentuate calmness, enhance your senses or just to smell divine. Handmade scented soy candles in a range of sizes and scents are all perfect gifts for upcoming Mothers Day.
Freshly harvested tasty spray free vegetables from our over abundant garden. A great array of Jams, Relishes, Chutneys, refreshing Old Fashioned Ginger Beer, Elderberry and Elderflower Cordials to help boost your immune system will all be on offer also.
Granny has been busy crafting her Wee Jars of Goodness and Wellbeing for you to enjoy. With fresh batches of Kawakawa Ointment, Sleep Ezy balms, Whipped Magnesium cream, to name a few. These would make great gifts.
Katie has been creative and made your K9 pooch some special Doggy Delectables, tasty treats that get chow down. She has also just finished trailing Kitty Delectables and will have these at her table for your feline pets to relish, along with Wild Bird seed feeders for you to hang in your trees and watch the birds devour.

Hi, I'm Lucinda from Sew Perfect NZ. I design and sew good quality purses, bags, key chain purses, wallets, hottie covers and more. I have a fur sewing machine so I've just started dabbling in fur skin products.






Fresh Raw Orepuki Honey
We're in it for the bee's, we need them as much as they need us. Seeking a balance of keeping the bees in a safe and healthy environment with as little intervention as possible and their gift in return is this delicious raw honey.
Available to our local community from our little roadside stall in Orepuki and now at the Riverton Markets. All of our hives are in the Orepuki/Riverton area.

We have a variety of maori arts and crafts. Pounamu pendants and earrings, kawakawa balm and soap, air freshener, deodorizer, insects repellent all chemical free, flax earrings, paua shell and mother of pearl earings, poi and rakau boxed sets, korowai, framed korowai, framed taonga and a variety of flax kete and weaving.

Carolyne works with wire, repurposing old jewellery, finding a way to incorporate found and wild objects or salvaging what would otherwise be waste into something wearable and desirable.
Carolyne will also have Doterra Pure therapeutic grade pure essential oils available for sale at her stall.
