Riverton Community Market is a great place to catch up with friends & family, find a boutique gift for someone special, and treat yourself to something nice! We hold this market on the last Sunday of every month fro 10am - 2pm (at Flecks Hall, opposite the supermarket) - watch this space for future developments..
Our intentions are to:

bring our community together on a regular basis,

support local enterprise (and encourage our children with their enterprises)

provide opportunities for local people to sell their crafts, products & produce,

facilitate our community in meeting local suppliers,

encourage sharing, giving and trading,

support local fundraisers,

BAKING COMPETITION:

Exciting news!! We are going to have a XXXX )(watch this space for annoucement) baking competition at the next Riverton Community Market on Sunday the 27th October. Made by the community, judged by the community. So pull out your best recipes and get your bake on!

All entries must be at the market by midday which is when the taste testing starts. The prize is $75 cash! The winner will be announced at 1.30pm. Please provide the following information to go with your entry:

Fresh Raw Orepuki Honey
This range of magic is created by Ruby - 12yr old. Of course, under the watchful eye of her mum at Hippie Daze. Ruby has had a keen interest in all things healing and magic since she was born. At the moment she makes a selection of bathing products, cleansing tools, balms, candles, macrame and soon wants to offer oracle readings. All proceeds from Ruby sales remain with Ruby with most of it being reinvested into her branch of the business. Ruby is a young entrepreneur trying to make her way in the world, support is deeply appreciated.

$2.00 Freshly Baked Cupcakes. Local girls Lakisha & Mia are fundraising to attend the NZ Junior Age Groups in Auckland in October.

Riverton Repair Cafe
The Riverton Repair Cafe invokes the philosophy of learning how to mend and make do, to extend the life of your belongings. Mary will be available with her sewing machine and Carolyne will be offering small jewellery repairs at her stall. What a wonderful community we live in!
Fresh Raw Orepuki Honey
We're in it for the bee's, we need them as much as they need us. Seeking a balance of keeping the bees in a safe and healthy environment with as little intervention as possible and their gift in return is this delicious raw honey.
Available to our local community from our little roadside stall in Orepuki and now at the Riverton Markets. All of our hives are in the Orepuki/Riverton area.
Food by Appreciation Ahurutanga
Delicious seafood chowder and fried bread will be available to buy for $10 so be prepared to come to the market hungry!
Clinton Busby is currently setting up his own Youth Mentor Programme Empowering Tamariki/Rangatahi through Reindigenisation, this is achieved by regular activities of self sustained living such as planting of vegetables, hunting for wild animals, fishing off the rivers and moana etc etc It's through his own life's experiences why he is willing to give up his time to instill knowledge into our future leaders and his way of bringing communities together

Appreciate the beauty in the unexpected, recognize the treasures found in the wild and everyday objects around us.
​Carolyne works with wire, repurposing old jewellery, finding a way to incorporate found and wild objects or salvaging what would otherwise be waste into something wearable and desirable. Carolyne will be offering small jewellery repairs at her stall (as part of The Repair Cafe).
The Hebe Lady
Lots of Hebe varieties for sale. If you have any unwanted plant pots, please feel free to bring them to this stall.
