    December's Riverton Community Market

What a beautiful end to the year! The sun came out for the last Riverton Community Market of 2025 bringing lots of locals and travelers through the doors. It was so nice to catch up with all of you - lots of smiles, conversations, hugs and laughter! I came away with many delightful treasures - gifts for family and friends - plus a few things for myself that I just couldn't resist (haha - it's becoming a habit)!

Huge thanks to all the stallholders who have made a lot of effort over the year to bring such a gorgeous selection of wares to this market. You make this market an aesthetic delight to attend - and also lots of fun! Thanks also to the community who have supported these markets - and those who have baked for the competitions or been taste testers... we appreciate you!

Speaking of the baking competition, this one was a two woman race (- I for one, ran out of time to make an entry... it's a BUSY time of year!). The two entries were both really delicious as well as beautiful! Jasmin won with her ginger shortbread recipe (pic above) and kindly donated the money back into the market so we are closer to purchasing the next item we have our eye on for the market ... we are saving up for our own hydraulic apple press! Hopefully we will be able to buy one before the apples are ripe .. we will keep you posted!

The raffle this month was won by local lad Jacob who would no doubt have been absolutely stoked.. there was so many delights in there. Well done Jacob!

We will be back at the end of January, last Sunday of the month (which is the 25th). We will announce the baking competition closer to the time so watch this space. Meanwhile have a wonderful Christmas and New Year and enjoy some well-earned downtime!
