    February's Riverton Community Market

Thanks to those people who made it to the market despite the very average weather - it was lovely to see you! This month we had new stall holders from Ohai selling the most divine products including home-made beeswax candles and resin containers, and we also had hot tea, coffee and hot chocolate which was a lovely addition to our market. Among other things, I couldn't resist buying a beautiful hand-knitted snake from Nanny's yarns as well as some gorgeous flowers and shrubs for the garden... there's always something that sucks me in!

The bakiing competition was savoury muffins... I managed to persuade a friend to make my entry - ha... they were waaaaay better than I would have done so I think that was a good call! The entries were all yum (I totally forgot to get any pics this month!) but it was stall-holder Tracy (from A Little Bit of Everything) who was the winner. She kindly donated the prize back to the market as she knows were are saving for our own hydraulic apple press... we're getting closer but may not quite manage it this year... we'll see!

The raffle (basket of love) was won by our lovely stall-holder Irirangi. She was STOKED! So happy for you Iri.. you totally deserve all the nice things!

The next market falls on the 29th March. We've already decided that the baking competition will be chocolate cake - we know you all love a good choccy cake!! Looking forward to seeing you there. Meanwhile have an AMAZING month!
