Once again we were blessed with beautiful sunlight streaming in through the windows of the Riverton Community Market, highlighting all the stall holder's gorgeous items for sale at their tables. As usual, big thanks to the stall-holders, and musicians, as well as to all the people who make the effort to come to these markets. They really are all about community and we love having you there and getting to catch up! I managed to hand out all the Pink Fir seed spuds I had spare as well as most of the potato onion seed - was nice to see people excited about growing something new. I was happy to score some lettuce seedlings from Trish's stall - I'll be popping them in the ground as soon as I'm confident the hails storms are done with for the year!

The baking competition this time was Ginger Crunch, the old classic. The entries looked delicious... I held myself back from trying them all since I'm on a special diet, but I did sneak a little piece of Jasmin's (Great Grandma's recipe), and also of the winning one - both yummy! Funnily enough the winners (Fletcher and Peri) had suggested that Ginger Crunch should be the competition this time... they knew they had a great recipe under their hats! Congrats guys and thanks to all for entering the competition. Watch this space for the subject of the next competition!

The raffle (aka basket of love) was won by Roundhill local Kelly - congrats and enjoy the booty!!

The next market falls on Sunday 26th October (Labour Day weekend). Keep your eyes peeled for an announcement of next market's baking competition! We look forward to catching up with you again there!
